Overnight Grind : Market Makers VS Sharps May 30, 2022

Market Makers are sportsbooks that are the first to post a line and set the market. They will control risk by setting their bet limits lower when posting a spread or Moneyline before everyone else. Once the market adjusted, they max their bet limits. Talbot has been hot and won his last 8 starts but don't discount Jarry he's been solid this year.

RECAP: For those that remember, on the last edition (May 28th) the sharps were on the over 7.5 between the Rangers and the A's. That cashed in easily.

It's game 7 in Carolina tonight. It's been a homer series all along and we can expect the Canes to close the series tonight. We have no sharp money on either team however the over-under was of interest from 2 different sets of sharps. Initially, the under 5.5 was hit but it followed with sharp money on the over and some books that had it at 5 were also hit on the over. The handle is at 55% on the under and the book feels good enough to open the max bet limits at 10k. My leans are the Canes and the under 5.5

The MLB sharp report is showing 4 games of interest from the sharps overnight. One of those games is the Texas Rangers at +129. Looking at the MLB model on our website, you will notice that the Rangers have close to +10% EV making it the second-best value play of the evening. So we have the sharps and the model loving the Rangers!! If you love the Texas Rangers tonight then this is the time for you to slam them but I don't. The pitching match-up is a no-contest for me. The Rangers have a bottom 10 OPS rating and the Rays are much more consistent at the plate and should take care of Otto.
