Overnight Grind : Market Makers VS Sharps May 28, 2022

Market Makers are sportsbooks that are the first to post a line and set the market. They will control risk by setting their bet limits lower when posting a spread or Moneyline before everyone else. Once the market adjusted, they max their bet limits. Talbot has been hot and won his last 8 starts but don't discount Jarry he's been solid this year.

RECAP: The sharps did not have a good day. They were wrong with St Louis/Colorado over 6.5, the under in Boston and the Marlins

It is now a common trend for the Canes in the playoffs. They have 2 teams, their home team and then their away team. Their away team is not good and hasn't won a game yet. Their home team is one of the best and very hard to beat. Today, we have the away team that should show up and the sharps are fully aware of that. The NY Rangers got steamed in the US markets but not in the offshore markets. There is no indication of sharp money on the Canes but some swings are noticeable, especially at Sugarhouse where the line went from -110 for the Rangers to -120 and back down to -106. The only valuable information that I have from the offshore books is that money started coming in on the Canes at around 6 am but no indication yet if it's square or sharp money. The handle moved from 56% and the Rangers to 51% on the Canes in the last 10 hours. If you are looking for a lean, take the Rangers. It would make no sense to support a team that can't win on the road.

In the MLB yesterday the sharps were on the Marlins but I didn't agree with it. I was so against it that I posted a VIP bet on the Braves. On the early sharp report, we have the Marlins again but I won't disagree as much with Alcantara on the mount. Don't get me wrong, Rogers did much better yesterday but he needs to show more consistency. Anyway, there are 4 more games on the sharp report and I want to cover a different team today. Sharps are on the over 7.5 in Oakland today. After supporting the under in the last 2 games, the sharps noticed 2 shitty pitchers on the mount with 2 offenses that are slowly generating more offense hence the support on the over. My model has this game at 7.8 so there is not much value but I agree with the sharp interest.
