TNF: Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles

Tonight we are covering SNF between the Cowboys and the Eagles.

What a turn of events in the NFC East!! If the Giants and Cowboys win today we will have a 3-way tie with 3 teams at 5-1. What??????

Both the Giants and Cowboys are underdogs today however both teams haven't stopped surprising us this season.

I was expecting a close number from the oddsmakers and I wasn't surprised to see BetOnline opening the Eagles at -3 in this division showdown. I was surprised when I ran my model and saw that it projected the Eagles at -8. By then the line was already at -6 and I started to get some interest in the Cowboys.

We have to give Quinn a ton of credit for the work he's done with the Cowboys defense. The Boys have allowed more than 19 pts in any of the first 5 games of the season and haven't given up more than 1 TD per game. Their defense stepped it up an extra notch last week versus the Rams and now have the second-most sakes in the league! What to say about Parsons eh? Wow! We can expect Dallas's pass rush to continue doing damage and it might become a big issue with the Eagles that are fighting some injuries on the left side and at the center. Rush has done a great job and the numbers don't lie. The Cowboys are 4-0 ATS and he's been making all the right decisions.

As for the Eagles, no disrespect for their fans but your season starts tonight. They had a light and easy schedule facing Arizona, Detroit, Washington... YOU KNOW what I don't even want to continue to name the teams! YOUR SEASON STARTS TONIGHT!!! Yes, I have anger issues... my brother-in-law is an Eagles fan and I just can't hear him anymore.

The Bottom line: I would love to get the Boys at +7 tonight. This is a huge divisional game and an elite defense is getting 6.5 pts? Divisional games last week were dominated by the underdogs going 6-0 ATS. This is going to be the Eagle's first elite matchup and Hurts will face a defensive quality team that he hasn't seen all season and he's got some injuries on the OL. The Cowboys have dominated the Eagles however this is a different Eagles team and I am not saying Dallas will win however they should keep it closer to a FG.

Let's take the boys at +7 or better. By the hook if you have to but don't spend more than 25c
