The Bottom Line: MNF Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles

The Botton line article will lead us in making the right call on a high-profile game. I will cover TNF, SNF, and MNF. I will also cover big baseball games, the NBA, and the NHL.

Tonight we are covering the SNF showdown between the Vikings and Eagles

Both offenses were impressive in their first game of the season we should expect the same tonight. The total went up from 47.5 to 49 and hit 51 at a certain point. Hurts looked unstoppable at times versus the Lions pushing up close to 250 yards in the air and almost 100 rushing yards. The Vikings defense looked great versus Rodgers but they are projected 20th this season in DVOA and they will have a harder time versus the Eagles. As for the Eagles defense, THEY SUCKED! Their run defense is a big concern allowing Swift 144 rushing yards. I hope they made the necessary adjustments to face Cook tonight. The Packers looked lost for most of the game last week mainly because of some wild Viking formations and play calling but the Eagles have now studied the playbook.

I expected much better things from the Eagle's OL tbh. They added Reddick, Bradberry, White, etc... and rookie Davis... tonight we should see a much better game from the Eagles OL.

With AJ Brown the Eagles are even more dangerous in the air. He went 10-155 yards last week with 1 TD. Jefferson is the best WR and destroyed the Vikings last week but I will downgrade him a little this week since his QB is one of the worst in primetime. Justin might have some extra motivation to play the Eagles since they picked Reagor over him in the 2020 draft! Idiots!

We can expect both teams to run a shit ton of times and that is the only thing that is scaring me to pull the trigger on the over.

The Botton line: The Vikings are on the road after a huge divisional win and they are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 Monday night road games. Cousin is one of the worst primetime QBs out there. The Vikings playbook was revealed last week and the Eagles had the necessary time to adjust. The Vikings defense will have a hard time adjusting to Hurts versus not having to sweat with a mobile Rodgers last week. I expect the upgraded OL of the Eagles to play closer to their expectations, protect Hurts and open up the Philadelphia ground game. There is just too much hype on the Vikings.
