The Vikings are in Philly for G2 of the Monday Night schedule. Both teams come into this game at 1-0, the Vikings dominated the Packers at home in an impressive 23-7, while the Eagles had to hold of the Lions from coming back in a tight 38-35 win on the road. With Vegas setting the total at 49, we can expect some fireworks between both offenses tonight. Even though the Vikings are on the road I really think they’re a live dog here, their offense will score tonight as their 3 headed monster of Cook, Jefferson & Thielen will be hard to shut down. I also think their defense will be able to get more stops than then Eagles will. Vikings upset the Eagles tonight.

Chicago Cubs +115 1st 5 innings

The Cubs visit the Marlins tonight; it will be veteran W. Miley versus the Marlins youngster E. Cabrera on the mound. At this point of his career W. Miley provides a level on consistency that is coveted by several teams, and if not due to his injury earlier this season I’m sure he would have been added by a team that was fighting for a playoff position. Miley doesn’t go very deep into games and that is why I will back the Cubs for the first 5 as I don’t want to have to rely on their bullpen. The Marlins offense is just brutal and 2 runs in the first 5 by the Cubs might just be enough to cash this play.

New York Mets +103

The Mets head into Milwaukee to face the Brewers tonight. We have a matchup of CY Young award winners in M. Scherzer & C. Burnes and it is no surprise that the total is set at 6.5. Whenever you can get M. Scherzer at plus money it feels like it is a no brainer to just back him. Also, Burnes just hasn’t been pitching well as of late, in his last 7 starts his ERA is 5.23. Fortunately, for the Brewers they were still able to win 5 of the 7 starts due to the fact they faced pitchers that were a lot were than Burnes. Tonight versus Scherzer there won’t be that margin for error. I like the Mets as a small dog tonight.
