Tonight is a pivotal G5 of the Western Conference Finals between the Oilers and Stars, with the winner of this game gaining plenty of momentum in the series. A Stars win will allow them to try and finish this series on the road in Edmonton while an Oilers win will put the Stars on the brink of elimination forcing them to win on the road to stay alive. I still believe that the Stars have a clear advantage in goal in this series when comparing J. Oettinger versus S. Skinner and I really expect Oettinger to rebound in a big after giving up 4 goals in the last game of this series. Superstar goalies rarely have back to back poor performances in the playoffs and I expect Oettinger to follow in that pattern. I like the Stars to rebound here on home ice here behind strong performance from Oettinger in goal.

The Cubs return from a terrible six game road trip that saw them go 1-5, their offense should some signs life versus the Brewers in their last series and look to continue that today versus the Reds. On the mound it will G. Ashcraft versus J. Assad, the Reds have struggled in Ashcraft's road starts as they've lost 5 of his 6 road starts this season. The main reason being the lack of run support they provide him, in the teams 5 losses, 4 times they've scored less than 4 runs. They will run into more issues scoring runs this afternoon as Assad's home ERA on the season is 1.33. I like the Cubs to get the victory this afternoon versus the Reds.
