The Sabres return home from a 5 game west coast road trip that didn't go well as they lost 3 of 5. They've had 2 days to rest for their game versus the Sens, so fatigue will not be an issue for them. The Sens have won 2 straight as their offense has been clicking as they've scored 10 goals over the 2 wins versus the Devils and Oilers. The Sens are one of the worst teams in the NHL on the road with an 11-20-2 record and the biggest reason for that has been the suspect goaltending from J. Korpisalo and A. Forsberg. Korpisalo is confirmed to start tonight and has been average at best of late, he's given up 3 goals or more in 3 of his last 4 starts. UP Luukonen should get the start for the Sabres and his game has slipped a little as he's also given up 3 goals or more in 3 of his last 5 starts. With the Sens struggling for success on the road and both teams struggling with consistent goaltending I like the Sabres in regulation and over the total in this game.    

Boston Bruins even

Two teams playing well meet tonight when the Bruins visit the Lightning, the Bruins will be on a B2B after winning a tight 4-3 game over the Panthers last night. The Bolts are retuning home from a west coast trip which was very successful with 4 wins in 5 games. With J. Swayman starting last night we should see L. Ullmark in goal for the Bruins, while the Bolts have already confirmed A. Vasilevskiy. Even though the Bolts have won 7 of their last 10 games, it has been in spite of Vasilevskiy's performance as they've been outscoring their opponents. Vasilevskiy has given up 3 goals or more 8 of his last 9 starts which clearly isn't what we're used to from him. Trying to outscore the Bruins to win a game isn't the best path to victory as they're in the top 10 of the league in fewest goals allowed. Even with the Bruins on a B2B, I like them at win this game with Vasilevskiy not playing well.
