Val's WTA Indian Wells Semifinals Play

No a great day for our Zverev play, this match was interrupted after only 2 games played for over an hour because of an infestation of bees around the court. There is nothing worse than an interruption in a match that can ruin preparation and momentum of a match. I believe this did affect Zverev last night.

American C. Gauff faces Greece's M. Sakari in one of the semifinal matches at the Indian Wells Open tonight.  Gauff surprisingly needed 3 sets to get by her 2nd round opponent C. Burel but has totally dominated her last 3 opponents winning all her matches with ease in straight sets. The same cannot be said for Sakari as she's needed a decisive 3rd set to win 3 of her 4 matches. It is nice to see Sakari playing better tennis as she was really struggling to start the season. However, I do not believe she is playing well enough to challenge Gauff tonight. These two have played each other 5 times in the past on hard court and never once has the match gone to a 3rd set and once they played exactly 21 games, the four other matches were under 21 games played. With that track record, playing the under 21 games is the play here.
