American C. Eubanks faces Spain's F. Lopez in the first round of the Acapulco Open. If not for receiving a wildcard exception there is no way Lopez would be here under normal circumstances. Lopez will be playing his first match of the season and at age 41, Lopez has been an afterthought for years now, the last time Lopez had a winning record on tour dates back all the way to 2017, and even then we was only 25-23 overall. Things are so bad for Lopez that last year he went 1-15 in the 16 matches he played, trust me when I say that Eubanks is by no way part of the elite of tennis but at this stage of their careers he should have no issue taking this match in straight sets.
