Tonight is G2 of this 3 games series between the Dbacks and Nats, last night was not a pitchers duel as both teams combined for 15 runs scored in a Dbacks 10-5 win. Tonight we have two starters that are clearly having trouble getting outs, Z. Davies has an ERA of 5.40 while P. Corbin is at 4.92. Neither of these starters is a hard thrower and that is an issue as it becomes very difficult to get out of sticky situations as they cannot blow a pitch behind a batter to get a strikeout. I think we see more of the same like last night where both teams will score several runs.

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 +128

Tonight if G3 of this 4 game series between the Astros and Jays, the series is tied a one game apiece, we have R. Blanco versus C. Bassitt on the mound. Blanco will only be making his 2nd start of the season, he was fortunate in his last start versus the Angels to only allow 2 ERs in 5 plus innings as he allowed 7 hits and 3 walks. That will not be a recipe for success versus the Jays tonight. Bassitt has been very effective at home this season with a 2.16 ERA and I like him to contain this Astros offense which isn't as potent as its been in years past. I like the Jays by multiple runs here.

New York Mets +116

The Mets play G2 of this 3 game series versus the Braves, it will be M. Scherzer versus C. Morton on the mound. The Mets have lost 4 straight and look to right the ship, expectations were so high for this club at the start of the season but injuries and a sputtering offense have not helped. M. Scherzer looks to have turned things around after a terrible start versus the Tigers where he allowed 6 ERs in 3 plus innings, since then he's surrendered only 3 ERs in 25 innings while striking out 28 batters. It isn't very often when you get Scherzer as underdog and I'll gladly back him with the way he has been pitching.
