The Astros and Rangers continue their three game series tonight as F. Valdez takes on T. Mahle on the mound. The Astros have been riding hot in Valdez’s starts of late as they won his last 7 starts with 6 of those wins being by 2 runs or more. Valdez has pitched well during this streak but the Astros offense has been really clicking for him as they scored 5 runs or more in 6 of those games. Mahle will be making his first start of the season and will definitely be on a pitch count and you have to question how effective he will be. I like the Astros to score and score often tonight in a big win for the Valdez.   

Baltimore Orioles -1.5 +117

The O’s are in Toronto to start a series with the Jays as G. Rodriguez faces C. Bassitt. These two sides recently played a four game series in Baltimore, one in which the O’s took 3 of 4. Both of these starters pitched in that series with very different results, Bassitt was hit around for 5 runs in 4 IP in a 6-2 loss, while Rodriguez when 6 strong innings in a 10-4 win. The Jays lineup is already reflecting one of September call ups as Guerrero, Varsho, Kirk, and Springer are all that remain from the Opening Day starting lineup. The O’s are a more potent lineup and are playing for the AL East Crown, I expect them to take this game with ease.
