Detroit Red Wings -.5 +109 (regulation)

The Caps are in Detroit to face the Red Wings tonight, the freefall continues for the Caps as they're up to 6 straight losses and their playoff hopes are hanging on by a thread. They have thoroughly been outplayed almost every single night by their opponent during this stretch and it doesn't getting easier for them tonight. The Red Wings have won 2 of 3 and look to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win. After a rough patch tonight's starter for the Wings A. Lyon has been playing much better with a save percentage of .974 over his last 4 starts. The Caps haven't looked good over the past 2 weeks and I don't like their chances on the road versus a very good home team in the Wings with a 22-12-5 home record. I like the Wings in regulation here.

Calgary Flames/SJ Sharks O6 -105

The Flames are in San Jose to play the Sharks in a game that means nothing for either side. The only thing of meaning in the match is individual accolades for the players. With both sides out of the playoff picture for some time, players will be looking to pad stats and avoid injury as they head into the off season and the summer months. Do not expect too much physical play and a lot of open ice up and down play from both sides, what that does in create a lot of scoring opportunities and goalies to fend for themselves. I like both sides to get a lot of scoring opportunities and to capitalize on them meaning this game will go over.

Cincinnati Reds -1.5 +148

The Reds the Brewers tonight in Cincy, through 2 starts the Reds must be ecstatic with the acquisition of starter F. Montas, in 2 starts versus the Nats and Phils he's surrendered 1 ER over 11 2/3 IP winning both games. The Reds were hoping they signed an ace during the offseason and so far so good. J. Ross starts for the Brewers and he pitched well in his first start versus the Twins giving up 0 ER over 3 2/3 IP, however, he did allow plenty of base runners via 2 hits and 5 walks. That is not a recipe for success moving forward, especially for a Reds team that hits well. The Reds can score runs in bunches and I like their chances versus Ross who allows way too many base runners.
