Edmonton Oilers -1.5 +149

The Oilers end a 4 game road trip with a game versus the Penguins this afternoon, the Oilers started their road trip with a big OT win over the Bruins but have followed that up with bad losses versus the Blue Jackets and Sabres yesterday. The Penguins for their part look like they're in total shambles right now, they've lost 5 of 6 and are technically still mathematically alive but traded away J, Guentzel and have pretty much closed the door at making the playoffs. It is a sad state of affairs for the likes of Penguin lifers Crosby, Malkin and Letang as they don't have much time left in the NHL and a lost season like this must hurt. However, with that being said the Penguins are not playing well being outscored 23-5 in their 5 losses and playing a great offensive team lead by McDavid, Draisaitl and Hyman will only expose them even more today. I like the Oilers by multiple goals this afternoon.

Nashville Predators +118

The hottest team in the NHL right now the Preds (9-0-1, last 10) visit the Wild today, and look to extend their lead for one of the Wild card spots for the NHL playoffs. During this stretch they have created what looks like an insurmountable 10 point cushion over the Flames and Blues who are behind them with less than 20 games in the season to play. The Wild have only won 2 of their last 6 games and those 2 wins came versus the Sharks and Yotes who aren't playing well at all. The Wild in seasons' past used to be a dominant force on home ice but that isn't the case this season as they're only 15-12-4, while the Preds are road warriors with a 19-10-2 record. The Preds are playing much better hockey and I will back them as a dog here.

New York Islanders -184

Another of the hottest teams in the NHL is in action tonight when the Islanders faces the Ducks tonight, the Isles have won 5 straight and are lighting up the lamp, the Islanders have scored a combined 24 goals over this win streak and have beaten quality teams like the Bruins, Stars and Red Wings in the process. The Ducks have won 3 of their last 5 games, however, all 3 wins were versus teams way out of the playoff race in the Devils, Sens and Sharks. They have not looked good in games versus better quality opponents. The Isles will be able to to run their streak to 6 games tonight versus the Ducks who are struggling to play well versus good teams.
