Val’s Big Payday Parlay January 21st 2023

Val

We hit our second parlay of the week yesterday at +450, both hockey picks, Penguins and Avalanche were never in doubt, the Kings were down at half time but surged out the gate in the 3rd quarter and never looked back. Let's hit another today!

Val’s Big Payday Parlay, pays +502

Straight up Overall Record for the Big Payday Plays 501-703, -23.32 units

Calgary Flames -108

The Flames host the Lightning this afternoon in what will be the last game of a five game road trip for Tampa. The Flames are a much better home team than road team this season and even though haven’t been great of late I think are catching the Lightning in a vulnerable spot. This is the last game of a road trip and a team that has gone from the east coast time zone to central to west and back to central in a seven day span. Those types of changes can play havoc on your body even for the fittest of athletes. I will back the small favorite to get the job done.

Colorado Avalanche -103

After beating the Canucks with ease last night, the Avs head to Seattle to face the Kraken tonight. Avs Coach J. Bednar has his team rolling right now winners of four straight and as I mentioned yesterday are the healthiest they’ve been all season. Even missing Norris Trophy winner C. Makar for the last two games hasn’t fazed them. The Avs have really tightened it up on the defensive side allowing a total of 5 goals during this winning streak and tonight face a team that for some reason that cannot be explained struggles to score on home ice. I’m backing the Avs whom are on a B2B and probably starting their backup P. Francouz, he’s more than capable to outperform whomever the Kraken are starting in goal.

Atlanta Hawks -310

The red hot Hawks host the Hornets tonight in Atlanta. The Hawks have won five straight and look to have righted the ship after a very slow start to the season. They haven’t feasted on weak teams either during this winning streak, they’ve beaten a surprisingly good Pacers team, the Knicks, Mavs and their Southeast division rivals the Heat. Their opponent tonight the Hornets are coming off a victory but that was versus the only team worse than themselves in the NBA the Rockets. Prior to that victory the Hornets had lost 8 of 9 games and are most probably going to be without starting PG L. Ball whom is doubtful. I like the Hawks to get to six straight victories.
