The Braves look to avoid being swept and end a four game losing streak this afternoon when C. Morton faces F. Montas in the finale of this three game series. Montas will be making his 2nd start since being acquired by the Brewers at the trade deadline, even though he won his first start he didn't look so great allowing 3 ER in 5 IP while also allowing 9 hits. Montas also hasn't been very good this season with a 5.03 ERA and is one of the big reason the Reds where shopping him around at the deadline. Morton for the BRaves is really pitching well at home with a 3.00 ERA, but has been lights out at home since the beginning of June, over his last 6 home starts, the Braves have won 5 (4 by multiple runs) while he's posted a 1.01 ERA. I like Morton to continue his home dominance with the Braves avoiding the sweep by winning by multiple runs

Cincinnati Reds -1.5 -108

Tonight is the rubber game of this three game series between the Reds and Marlins, it will be H. Greene versus K. Tyler on the mound. Greene has been nothing but spectacular since the beginning of July, where his ERA is 0.27 over 5 starts as he's only allowed 1 ER over 33 IP while striking out 40. What will help Greene in this matchup is that apart from a couple of hitters, the Marlins are starting a AAA lineup on a daily basis. Tyler for the Marlins was added to the rotation towards the end of June and really hasn't impressed, he's made 6 starts and only pitched past the 5th inning once and has a 5.27 ERA. There is no doubt that the Reds have disappointed in 2024 but do have a significant advantage on the mound and the starting nine in this game. I like them by multiple runs here.
