Toronto Blue Jays +126

The Jays bats came alive yesterday versus the Rays scoring 9 runs on 10 hits to leave Tampa with a split in their series. Tonight they start a series versus the Astros that were swept by the Yankees in a 4 game series. Under normal circumstances you'd think it would be a no brainer to back the Astros tonight, the problem is that R. Blanco is on the mound and not J. Verlander or F. Valdez to end the Astros woes. Blanco is a 30 year old backend starter without much success in his short MLB career. Blanco made 7 starts for the Stros last season and wasn't very good with a 4.74 ERA overall and even higher at 5.14 at Minute Maid Park. I like the Jays here as does Anthony's MLB model which has the Jays at an EV value of 9%. Pro subscribers have access to Anthony's model on a daily basis. SD Padres -111

The Padres split their series with the Giants over the weekend and now welcome the St Louis to town for a 3 game series. It will be K. Gibson on the mound versus M. Waldron, the Cards were looking like they were going to split their 4 game series versus the Dodgers last night before imploding in the late innings blowing a 4-0 lead going into the 6th in an eventual 5-4 loss. Things don't easier tonight as the Padres offense have been playing well since the start of the season, especially yesterday with their 13 run showing versus the Giants. The Cardinals lineup is struggling out of the gate so far as no regular has been able to get on track, their starter tonight K. Gibson is not a pitcher who's pitches miss many bats which will be bad news for the Cards if they can't score runs. I like the hometown Padres to get the win.

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 +129

The Oilers are in St Louis to face the Blues tonight, the Oilers have an outside chance of catching the Canucks for the the division lead if they can go on a nice run in their last 10 games of the season. The Blues are fighting for their playoff lives here but chances are slim of them making it being 5 points behind the Kings and also have played one more game. The Blues are also coming off a nasty 4-0 loss to the Sharks of all teams and will most definitely be very hard to rebound from. The Oilers are rolling right now having won 3 straight outscoring their opponents 14-5 in the process. The Oilers have the advantage in goal with S. Skinner over J. Binnington and should carry their offensive momentum into tonight's game with a multiple goal victory.
