Val's ATP Indian Wells Play Round 4 Day 2
Val
We hit a big 2 unit play with A. Zverev last night, today we're back to the ATP for a play.
Record 23-28 (-3.62 units)
Danil Medvedev/Grigor Dimitrov O22.5 games played -107 (Risk 1.07 for 1 unit) Expected start time 7pm EST March 13th.
Tonight we have a 4th round match between two quality players when Russian D. Medvedev faces Bulgarian G. Dimitrov. Medvedev surprisingly struggled and needed 3 sets to beat his 3rd round opponent S. Korda, while Dimitrov has blown by lesser opponents in Frenchman A. Mannarino and A. Muller in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Both are having excellent starts to the 2024 season as Medvedev has an 11-2 record while Dimitrov sits at 15-3, and there is plenty of history between these two players as they've faced 10 times since 2017. Medvedev has dominated Dimitrov with a 7-3 record, however, Dimitrov has made life difficult for Medvedev as several matches have gone to a decisive 3rd set. This court at Indian Wells is not playing fast meaning breaking an opponent when the talent gap between the two is small is very hard to do. Going 3 sets would be ideal for this play to hit, however, if we can get a set to finish 7-6, we may not need to get a 3rd set for this play to hit. I like the over 22.5 games played tonight between two quality players.
