Val's ATP Acapulco Semifinal Play

We're in a rough patch right now, but I feel we have a solid play tonight at the Acapulco Open.

Two former top 10 players faceoff tonight in one of the semifinal matches at the Acapulco Open when C. Ruud face H. Rune. Rune has not really been tested through 3 rounds of this tournament as his toughest opponent was German D. Koepfer (ranked #58) in the last round but did need tiebreakers in both sets to win 7-6 7-6. Ruud has had a rougher go at it in his 3 matches needing 3 sets to win 2 of them but was impressive in his win over young American B. Shelton in his last match. There is plenty of history between these two as they've played each other on 6 occasions, every time on clay court with Ruud dominating with a 5-1 record. However, 2 of those wins were when Rune had just started on the ATP tour as a 17 year old. Their last 4 matches have been long challenging ones, each one going over the posted 23 games for this match. I like that to continue here as this match will get over 23 games played.
