We lost both of our bets last night and, quite literally, had a 25% chance of losing both of our bets - and it happened. It was a tough draw last night as the Knicks looked resilient, and the over hit early in the fourth quarter. We haven’t been performing how I’d like, but you all know, I stick with my processes. Let’s right the ship today.
December 2, 2023We’ve got two PROS on this play, and it’s a play that tips off real soon. Let’s get into it.
The LA Clippers are hosting the Golden State Warriors today in an afternoon contest that should be a division-tight battle; yet, there’s lots of indications that one side is actually far superior than the other. Both of these teams stink against the spread, and haven’t had any significant wins yet to begin the season. That could start today, as all eyes (and money) will be on this game.
When we look at the Sharp App Money Tools, we’re seeing some significant value on the Clippers. They currently own 32% of the bet handle, which checks that box rather easily, as we’re looking for under 40%. Then, they own 98% of the money - or something close to that, as sometimes it’s hard to believe that one side has that much money on it. We’re seeing a difference of over 60%, which is great news for us.
But what I like even better is that Sharp AI has this game pegged at around a line of -6, and at -4.5, we’re getting some really good value. We have about a point and a half of wiggle room to work with on that projection.
The Warriors have been on quite the freefall, going 3-7 in their last ten games, and have lost two straight road games. While they just beat the Clippers, they were absolutely let down by both Paul George and James Harden. They currently have a top-six defense in the league that clamps down on three-point shooters, of which the Warriors rely heavily on. All of the stars will be playing in this game, with Chris Paul being a loss for the Warriors in this game. The Clippers are also sixth in the league in defensive scoring, beating league average by five points.
The Clippers match up well in this game too, which feels odd to say even though they just lost to this Warriors team; but it’s true. The Clippers are a great rebounding team on the offensive side of the ball, and the Warriors give up a ton of points on the road.
The Clippers are stout defensively at home, and expect Paul George and James Harden to show up today. Let’s take the Clippers by five. PICK: Los Angeles Clippers -4.5
