OVERALL RECORD: 55-34, +16.69u
RECAP:
We absolutely smashed our NBA Bet of the Day on Saturday in the Miami game, and we continue to climb our bankroll higher and higher for this NBA season. Yesterday, we had THREE PRO PLAYS and went 2-1, with Milwaukee hitting a major stinker, while both the Suns and the Nuggets pulled through for us. I took the Suns bet before KD was ruled out, and so that win was a surprise for sure.

November 27, 2023

This is a game that will define both of these teams for the rest of the season.

I know, I know, that’s super dramatic; but it’s a game that is winnable for both teams, and depending on who is playing, could definitely set the course for how these teams are going to fare against other competitive teams.

The Philadelphia 76ers are hosting the Los Angeles Lakers tonight in a clash between two high-scoring bigs in Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid. AD is definitely playing, as he’s already been listed as probable, but we’re unsure about Lebron James, who is currently dealing with a calf issue. Because the line is placed where it is, I’m going to assume that Lebron James won’t play tonight; even if he does, we’re still going to have a good shot at hitting this bet.

The 76ers have already cemented themselves as beasts in the East, running up to a record of 11-5 (they’re also 11-5 ATS, for what it’s worth). They’re also a dominant home team, winning 6 of the 9 games they’ve played at home. They’re hosting a Lakers team that is 10-7 this season and a whopping 3-5 on the road, and 7-10 ATS this season. The math adds up to back Philly, right?

Correct. And our Sharp App Money Handles tool backs this up as well; when we’re looking at the money distribution for this game, it’s heavy on one side, and one side only. While most of the bets on this game are on the Lakers at 69%, the Lakers only hold 13% of the total money handled in this game; the rest of it belongs to the 6ers, who have only 31% of all bets, but hold 87% of the money in this game. At -4.5/-5, we’re getting an absolute steal of a number, too, as Sharp AI predicts this game should be closer to a -5.5 lead for the 76ers.

And for good reason, too. The 76ers have beaten the Lakers 6 straight times, and nine out of the last ten times that these teams have faced off. This season, at home, the 76ers are fifth in total scoring, while the Lakers give up the 8th-most points in the league on the road.

Let’s hammer this 76ers line until it pops up around -6, which then we can re-evaluate. But for now, if we’re getting it at -5, it’s a must-play for me.

PICK: Philadelphia 76ers -5
