Baltimore Orioles +138

The Orioles look to avoid being swept this afternoon versus the Sox along with trying to keep their slim post season chances alive. With 7 games remaining and 4.5 games behind the Mariners, the Orioles are in must win mode. Today it will be M. Baumann versus N. Eovaldi on the mound; Baumann will only be making his 3rd start of the season and he hasn’t been anything special in the first 2. For the Sox, Eovaldi will be making his first start since early August and considering this may his last start of the season he will be on a pitch count as the Sox will want to avoid another injury going into the offseason. I will back the O’s at plus money in what is a must win game.

Tampa Rays/Cleveland Guardians U6.5 -103

The Rays and Guardians finish their 3 games series tonight with a matchup of two pitchers that have been dominant over the last 2 months. Both J. Springs and C. Quantrill have propelled their squads to playoff berths should keep this game low scoring. Springs has an ERA of 2.61 over his last 7 starts and the under is 8-3-1 in his 12 road starts this season. Quantrill has an ERA of 2.52 over his last 7 starts and has only surrendered more than 3 earned runs once in a last 10 starts. I like both starters to continue to dominate today in a low scoring game.

Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 +128

The Brewers host the Marlins for a four game weekend series and it will be crucial for the Brewers to take advantage of a team that is 27 games under .500. It will be B. Garrett versus E. Lauer on the mound; Garrett has struggled on the road this season as his ERA of 4.39 is almost 2 full points higher than at home and the Marlins have lost 5 of his 8 road starts. For the Brewers; Lauer has been solid when pitching at American Family Field where his ERA is 2.99 and the Brewers have won 7 of his 11 home starts (6 by multiple runs). The Brewers are a .5 game behind the Phillies for the last Wild Card spot and I like them to take care of business versus the Marlins tonight.
