Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 +142

The Phils took a low scoring 1-0 victory over the Braves last night as M. Fried and R. Suarez both really pitched well. Tonight we have J. Odorizzi and A. Nola on the mound. These 2 faced each other and neither pitched really well as Nola gave up 4 earned runs and Odorizzi couldn’t make it past 5 full innings. The Phillies have won 2 straight after having lost 5 straight and seem to be riding some momentum heading into this game. I like the chances of Nola out pitching Odorizzi tonight and the Phils to win by multiple runs.

San Francisco Giants -1.5 +128

The Giants are in Zona to face the DBacks for a weekend series. After facing the best starters the Dodgers have, they get to face C. Rodon tonight which won’t be easier. The DBacks send T. Henry to the mound, after starting off strong he’s been roughed up pretty bad in his last 2 and you can’t help but wonder if the league is starting to figure him out. Rodon is clearly the better pitcher in this matchup and will limit Zona’s chances. I like the Giants by multiple runs.

St Louis Cardinals +161

The Cards salvaged the last game of their 3 game series with the Padres with a late game 4 spot to win 5-4. Now they face the Dodgers over the weekend. It will be a battle of 2 lefties in J. Quintana & A. Heaney; Quintana has been great over his last 7 starts, the Cards are 6-1 while he’s posted an ERA of 2.50. The Dodgers just split their 4 game series with the DBacks and their offense didn’t score that many runs. I think the Cards are finally adjusted to the west coast time and in a good position to upset the Dodgers.
