The Sabres host the Islanders tonight, the Sabres have won 2 straight and I believe they're catching the Isles in a great spot. The Sabres are rested having not played since Tuesday and are catching the Isles on the last leg of a 4 game road trip and are coming from the west coast. The Isles also had their 6 game losing streak snapped in their last game versus the Kings 3-0 in which they looked flat. Tonight will not be easier versus the Sabres who are riding high off wins versus the Oilers and Red Wings. With I. Sorokin and UP. Luukkonen in goal I expect this to be a tight low scoring game, plus the Sabres have dominated this matchup winning 7 of the last 10 meetings, and I like that dominance to continue.

Ottawa Senators -1.5 +190

The Sens are in Columbus to face the Blue Jackets tonight, neither side has played well of late, the Sens have lost 7 of their last 10 while the Jackets have lost 6. Surprisingly enough the Jackets have actually played better versus the better teams in the league of late beating the Golden Knights, Rangers and Oilers but then looking terrible and losing versus non playoff teams like the Habs, Pens and Sabres. The Sens have not been great this season but do have quality players in their lineup and fit that mold of non playoff teams the Jackets can lose to. I feel they can score and score often versus the defensively challenged Jackets squad.  

Houston Rockets -7.5 -105

Tonight is a big game for the Rockets as they try to keep playoff hopes alive with a game versus the worst team in the NBA the Wizards. They currently sit 4 games behind the Warriors for the final play in spot and cannot take this game lightly. The Rockets have played super well on their home court winning 21 of 32 games, while the Wizards have only won 7 of 35 road games. Plus the Wizards have not been competitive in of late going 1-6 ATS in their last 7 losses. The Wizards rank 29th or 30th in the defensive categories of FG%, FGM and FGA and like the Rockets to take advantage of that to cover this number.
