The Sens host the Penguins tonight in Ottawa. The Sens are returning home form an awful road trip that saw them go 0-4 which extended their losing streak to 7 games. The Penguins aren’t in any better shape as they’ve lost 3 straight and 6 of their last 7 games, while looking totally out of sync on the offensive end scoring only 1 goal over those 3 losses. The Sens have also been struggling to score as they’ve scored less 3 goals or less in 7 straight games. As bad as the Sens have been this season, they still do have a winning record on home ice while the Penguins aren’t playing well and are going to missing the playoffs, I like the Sens to take this game in a low scoring affair.

Columbus Blue Jackets +102

The Blue Jackets are in Montreal to face the Habs tonight. The Jackets have been pretty decent of late (5-5, last 10) considering where they are in the overall standings (4th from the bottom) in the NHL. They’ve even beaten the likes of the Golden Knights and Oilers over their last 4 games. Tonight should be an easier task versus the Habs that have been terrible losing 8 of their last 10 games. The Habs traded away veteran goalie J. Allen at the trade deadline last week, meaning the Habs only 2 goalies now with a GAA over 3.00 instead of 3. To have 3 goalies with a GAA over 3 in today’s NHL shows how bad the Habs have been defensively this season. The Jackets are playing better hockey right now and I like them as a small road dog versus the Habs tonight.
