The Royals and Mets play G2 of their 3 game series today, the Mets took the opener last night 6-1 and now have won 4 of their last 5 games. The Royals have been a nice story to start the season at 9-5 after losing over 100 games last season. Today it will be A. Marsh versus S. Manaea on the mound, both have been very good through 2 starts, Marsh is sporting a 3.09 ERA while Manaea sits at a miniscule 0.82. This time of year can be very difficult to score runs especially on the east coast because of the cold weather and that applies here today in New York. D. Rackley will be the umpire behind the plate today and he is quite generous with his strike zone, the 2 games where he's called balls and strikes have produced a total of 5 runs with 41 strikeouts. The under is the play here with both starters pitching well and an under umpire. 

Minnesota Twins -1.5 +145 G1 & O8 even

The Twins and Tigers will play a twin bill to make up for Thursday's rainout today. G1 will have J. Ryan versus K. Maeda on the mound this afternoon. The Tigers took the opener last night with ease 8-2 behind a solid pitching performance from T. Skubal. Maeda, one of the Tigers offseason acquisition has not pitched well in 2 starts, he was hit around (6 runs in 3 1/3 IP) by the anemic offense that is the White Sox and then got hit pretty hard (3 runs in 5 2/3 IP) versus another weak offense in the A's. Ryan has pitched well in his 2 starts this season with a 3.18 ERA and over a strikeout an inning. I believe that Maeda's struggles will continue versus the Twins as they will score often and cover the run line and this game will go over 8 runs.
