Anthony P's NHL Model Game 2 Stanley Cup Finals
We will add new sports and models as we build the app and make it more robust. While our developers work on that, we want to give you as much information as possible via content and articles.I will post my MLB. NFL and NHL models as often as possible.
Reading the model is very simple. We are looking for EVs of over 5% on sides and 8 to 10% on totals. Sportsbooks tend to inflate lines on big favorites. I love to take a big underdog in those spots if they have a good pitcher on the mount and the game is on home turf. You should all play around with these and track them yourselves. See if you are seeing those with a significant edge losing often. Would you like to unlock all my VIP picks? The 'sharp' money, however, is eyeing the Over/Under market, notably favoring the Over 5.5 total goals from the get-go. With 70% of the betting slips and 80% of the wagers backing the over, some books have felt the pressure and have moved their lines to 6. Notably, industry titans Betonline, Pinnacle, and Bookmaker are holding their ground at Over/Under 5.5, with betting caps oscillating between $3,000 and $5,500.
The inaugural game of the Stanley Cup Finals proved to be a stumbling block for the Florida Panthers against the Vegas Golden Knights, ending their laudable five-game playoff win streak. The Panthers' offensive arsenal appeared to be misfiring in this initial encounter, with only two goals on the scoreboard and a third period left barren of any scoring success.
Yet, it would be unwise to write off the Panthers based on a single game. Their playoff performance so far has been sterling and they could well bounce back in Game 2. Panthers' goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has proven his mettle by limiting opponents to two goals or fewer in eight of the last 10 playoff games. Yet, the team's offense will need to step up their game, particularly given the unfavorable historical trends: the Panthers are winless in their last 6 encounters in Vegas, the home team has clinched victory in 10 of the last 11 matchups, and the favored team has won 7 of the last 8 games.
On the brighter side, both teams boast potent offenses. Vegas has scored an impressive four or more goals in six of their last nine playoff games, while Florida has been consistently netting three or more goals in six of their last 10 playoff games. With the Over proving profitable in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals, and given the teams' explosive offenses, betting on the Over could be a savvy move for Game 2. In fact, the Over has come through in 5 of the last 6 meetings in Vegas. Expect a high-octane offensive showdown that could light up the scoreboard in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.Best Prop:
