Given their form, it looked like a surefire bet that the Sun would dominate. But alas, it seems their focus was already on their next matchup against New York tonight, a psychological misstep that cost them.

The Minnesota Lynx had an interesting morning, opening as a 2.5 underdog but swinging to become a 1-point favorite. However, that value got gobbled up really quickly. My betting model is still in favor of Indiana at +5.5, sporting an enticing 6% Expected Value (EV). While home underdogs in the WNBA have been covering at a higher-than-expected rate, that number has fallen from 60% to 57% over the past 35 days. The market might be correcting itself, but it's an interesting tidbit for bettors to keep an eye on.

Dream vs. Lynx: The Battle for Playoff Seeding

When it comes to the Atlanta Dream, love has been in short supply. They've been slipping dramatically in recent weeks, making each game a do-or-die situation for playoff seeding. Interestingly, both teams have less-than-stellar ATS records; the Dream are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 road games, while the Lynx haven't fared well at home (2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 home games). Betting trends, in this case, seem to cancel each other out, but if you were to follow the model, the Lynx at home seems to offer some hidden value.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Wings, hanging onto the fourth seed, need to regain their footing after losing 5 of their last 9. Both teams offer tempting ATS trends, especially for those following the "bet the home underdog system" in the WNBA this season. Indiana might not be the smartest outright pick here, but given their recent form, they're worth a second look as a point-spread underdog.

Sun vs. Liberty: A Clash of Titans with A Twist

Though there seems to be no significant value in tonight's matchup between the Connecticut Sun and the New York Liberty, this is one you won't want to miss. The Sun will be in a back-to-back game situation and that's always a red flag, especially for a team that's pretty much locked into the third seed and could be facing motivational issues. On the flip side, the Liberty are rested, at home, and have been covering the spread with aplomb in recent outings. With a lot working in their favor, the Liberty could very easily take care of a fatigued Sun team.
