Last night we backed the Red Sox -1.5 that cashed is a see saw battle that ended in a Red Sox 13-9 win. Tonight I switch sides and will back the Orioles in a pitching matchup the has D. Kremer versus R. Hill; Kremer has been the O’s best starter of late as the O’s are 7-0 in his last 7 starts while he’s posted an ERA of 2.17. For the Sox, Hill has been terrible at Fenway this season where his ERA is a whopping 6.26 and the Red Sox have lost 6 of his 10 starts. Hill has made 3 starts versus the O’s this season, 2 at Camden Yards where the Red Sox won both and one at Fenway where he gave up 6 runs in 4 innings in an Orioles 10-0. Safe to say the O’s shouldn’t be at plus money tonight. O’s win.

LA Dodgers -1.5 +128

The Dodgers look to bounce back from their 4-3 loss in extras to the Padres last night. Tonight it will be J. Urias versus J. Musgrove on the mound; Musgrove has regressed considerably in the second half of the season compared to the first. He’s also had issues versus the Dodgers as well, in 2 starts he’s surrendered 7 earned runs over 12 and 1/3 innings and the Padres lost both by multiple runs. Urias will be making his 4th start versus the Padres and in the previous 3 his stat line is 18 IP 4 ER 2.00 ERA 0.94 WHIP, the Dodgers won all 3 games by multiple runs. No reason to believe the result will be any different tonight.

Chicago White Sox -1.5 +158

The White Sox and Twins play G2 of this series tonight in Minny; it will be J. Cueto and J. Winder on the mound. The White Sox couldn’t have chosen a worse time for a 7 game losing streak that ended any chance at a playoff berth. The Twins aren’t any better having lost 8 of their last 10 which also ended their playoff chances. With nothing to play for, for either team going forward I will back the team with the better pitcher tonight. Cueto has pitched well on the season overall and even better on the road where his ERA is 2.30. Since being added back to the rotation in September Winder has lost 3 straight starts while posting an ERA of 5.52, 2 of the 3 losses were by multiple runs. I like the White Sox at a very nice price.
