The Flames are in Philly to face the Flyers tonight. The Flames are off a big shootout victory over the Panthers, it was a game with a lot of emotions as it was the first meeting between them since the Tkachuk/Huberdeau offseason trade. I expect the Flames to carry that momentum into tonight’s game versus the Flyers who are looking worse game by game. They have lost 6 straight and 8 of 10 and if not for the stellar play of goalie C. Hart, the Flyers would be in far worse shape than they currently are. The Flames are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings and I like them to take advantage of the current state of the Flyers and win this game by multiple goals.

Boston Bruins -106

The Bruins travel to Tampa to face the Lightning tonight. What is there to say about the Bruins, apart from them being the best team in the NHL to this point at 16-2. They’re undefeated on home ice 11-2 and very good on the road at 5-2, they have been scoring goals with regularity and putting teams away with ease. The Lightning are also playing well winners of 7 of their last 10, doing so by outscoring their opponents. This should be a good game between 2 very strong teams; I give the Bruins the edge here as their goaltending has been much stronger to this point and should be the difference in tonight game.

Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5 +153

The Leafs take on the Islanders tonight in Toronto. This will be the Islanders last game of their current 4 game road trip; they started it with a win versus the Senators and followed that up with losses to the Preds and Stars. Tonight doesn’t get any easier as they play the Leafs that have won 6 of the last 7 meetings in Toronto. The Isles defensive play and goaltending has regressed over last couple of weeks giving up 3 plus goals on multiple occasions. That isn’t a good thing when playing a team like the Leafs that has several players that can light up the lamp. I like the Leafs by multiple goals here.
