Arizona DBacks -1.5 -107

The DBacks and Rockies play the second game of their series tonight and if last night is any indication of how the season will be for the Rockies it's going to be a long one. The Rockies gave up 14 runs in the 3rd inning alone in an eventual 16-1 loss and things won't get any easier tonight as they get to face M. Kelly on the mound. Kelly dominated at Chase Field last season where he had an ERA of 2.79 and the Rockies were a club he has plenty of success versus last season, he made 3 starts versus the Rockies, the DBacks won 2 by multiple runs and he gave up only 4 ER over 19 IP and struck out 28 batters. I expect the same type of domination from Kelly and the DBacks to easily win this game by 2 runs or more.

Toronto Blue Jays +107

The season started off on a good note for the Jays yesterday as they beat the Rays in relatively easy fashion 8-2. The expectations are high for the Jays again this season after disappointing many last season. The major issue for the Jays struggles last season was their lack of ability to come up with key base hits with men in scoring position, something they succeed at yesterday as they got key base hits from A. Kirk and K. Kiermaier to extend their lead from 3-1 to 6-1 which became insurmountable for the Rays, even though we are only the 2nd day of the season, I do believe the Jays have the advantage on the mound with C. Bassitt over A. Civale. I like the Jays as a dog here.

NJ Devils -.5 +121 (regulation)

The Devils are in the mists of possibly their best stretch of hockey of the season as they've won 4 of their last 5 games and are hanging on to their slim chances of making a push for the playoffs. It seems like the acquisitions of J. Allen in goal has really help the Devils, even though Allen was not having a good season with the Habs, he looks better than ever with the Devils and his veteran presence has really vaulted the Devils. He's won 4 of 6 starts since being acquired and has given up more than 2 goals in a game only twice. The Sabres have lost 4 of 6 and are really struggling to get good goaltending, they've given up on average 4 goals over their last 6 and you won't win many games in the NHL doing that. I like the rejuvenated Devils in regulation over a struggling Sabres team.
