The Jackets have now won 2 straight and scored a ton of goals (12) in the process. The Habs are a great team to face to continue that scoring prowess as the Habs have been surrendering 4 plus goals per game during the month of March. The Habs have only won 2 of their last 10 games and somehow won games versus the Penguins & Lightning, the Habs have a tendency to play down to the level of competition and often lose games to weaker teams that they shouldn’t lose too. The Stars host the Canucks tonight in a game were we should see a lot of goals. Even though the Stars are a team that has played to the under for the most part this season, the over has been a profitable bet of late with them. The over has cashed in 8 of their last 10 games as they’ve been lighting up the lamp with regularity, the Canucks have gone over the total in 4 of their last 7 and when the under has hit it’s because their opponent didn’t help the cause. With the way the Stars are rolling I’m sure they’ll help the over side. History also tells us that we should be in store for some goals as the over has hit in 6 of the last 7 games between these two teams.

The Panthers welcome the Rangers to Florida today for a late afternoon game. The Rangers come into town winners of 5 of their last 6 games and are probably playing their best hockey of the season. The Panthers continue to be on and off, they go through a good stretch winning 3 straight then follow that up with 2 or 3 losses in a row, it’s been a lot of hit or miss with them this season. Right now they’re in a stretch of missing having lost 2 straight and they haven’t looked good at all losing 6-3 to the Flyers and 6-2 to the Leafs. The Panthers are a favorite in this game just because of the fact that they’re the home team, I will back the underdog Rangers playing better hockey right now.
