This Cubs and Reds play the finale of their four game series this afternoon when S. Imanaga faces F. Montas on the mound. Both sides are going in opposite directions now as the Cubs have lost 7 of their last 10 games while the Reds are on a season long 7 games winning streak. After a torrid start to the season, we're seeing MLB hitters adjust to Imanaga, over his last 2 starts Imanaga has given up 12 runs over 8 2/3 IP. Montas is coming off his best start of the season as he no hit the Rockies over 7 IP before giving up a hit in the bottom of the 8th inning. D. Rackley is behind the plate calling balls and strike and he's a big home team umpire as the home team is 9-3 over 12 games. The Reds are running hot right now and there is no need to get in front of this train trying to stop it, I like the underdog Reds here.

The Braves look to win this afternoon and avoid leaving Washington with a 1-3 record in this 4 game series. The Braves won Thursday night but have lost the last 2 games in disappointing fashion as they offense hasn't been able to get going. Today it will be H. Waldrep versus DJ. Herz on the mound, Waldrep is making his first start of the season as he's spent most of the 2024 in AA where he had a 2.92 ERA. Herz is making his 2nd start of the season and his first did not go well versus the Mets as he gave up 4 runs over 4 IP in a 6-3 loss. A. Fletcher is the umpire behind home plate and the over is 10-2-1 in his 13 games with the lowest amount of runs scored in a game at 8, 8 times the amount of runs scored has been 10 or more in Fletcher games. This Braves offense is too good to not taking advantage of Herz today, I like the Braves on the run line and over the total in this game.
