Val’s Big Payday Parlay July 30th 2023

Val

We hit another parlay at +829, our 6th of the month of July!

Val’s Big Payday Parlay, pays +852

Minnesota Twins/KC Royals U9 +102

The Twins look to end their 4 game losing streak and avoid being swept by the Royals of all teams. The Twins have been able to score runs in this series, it's their pitchers that haven't been able to get the job done giving up 18 runs over 2 games. Their starter today K. Maeda has been pitching well since coming off the IL late June. He made a start versus these same Royals July 4th when he shut them down (7 IP & 1 ER) in a win. For the Royals, Yarbrough has held his own in his last 4 starts giving up only 6 ER over 23 IP. Also, T. Tichenor is behind the plate and American league games he's umpired are 5-1 to the under with an average runs per game at 5.2.

NY Yankees/Baltimore Orioles U9 -106

The Yanks were part of our winning parlay last night, we add them again today but with the under in the game. Under normal circumstances with today's starters L. Severino & D. Kremer I probably wouldn't be looking at playing the under here but a couple of things are pointing me towards it. Firstly, it is getaway day and like many other Sundays before it, you have to figure some regulars will get the day off. Secondly, our boy P. Cuzzi is behind home plate and loves the under in a game, 14-4 on the season. He's umpired many a game with mediocre to bad pitchers involved and the game has fallen under the total. I expect that to continue this afternoon.

Chicago Cubs +117

There is a term in gambling that says "never bet against a streak" and that is what we have here with the Cubs, as they're up to 8 games! Today it will be K. Hendricks versus S. Matz, Matz was the last pitcher to beat them on July 20th. He's actually pitched well lately, however, if you've followed Matz over his career you never know what you'll get with him, the good Matz or the bad Matz. Look at the numbers and more often than not it is the bad Matz. Hendricks is a control pitcher that lives low in the strike zone looking to induce ground balls. The Cubs are really feeling good about themselves right and actually are back in the Wild Card picture and I will not go against them with Matz on the mound.
