The DBacks start a three game series with the Nationals tonight before heading off for a six game road trip afterwards. Tonight it will be M. Parker versus J. Montgomery on the mound, Parker looks to have hit the proverbial rookie wall in July as he hasn’t been pitching well at all of late. He’s given up 17 ER in 16 2/3 IP in 4 starts forcing the Nats to play catch up in almost every game, with the over cashing in 3 of his starts. Montgomery has been pitching better since mid June as he’s propelled the DBacks to 4 wins over 5 starts. The DBacks offense is rolling having scored 4 runs plus in 6 straight games, I see tonight being any different versus the struggling Parker. I like the DBacks on the runline and over the total.     

Texas Rangers/St Louis Cardinals O8.5 -105

The Rangers are in St Louis to face the Cardinals tonight, the Rangers were just swept by the Jays and look to turn things around when N. Eovaldi faces A. Pallante on the mound. 2024 has been a good season overall for Eovaldi, however, he hasn’t pitched well on the road this season as his ERA is ballooned to 4.58 with the Rangers only winning 1 of his 6 road starts, the main reason being he’s given up 3 ER or more in 4 of them. For Pallante, even though his ERA is respectable, his numbers are a little skewed as he’s struggled versus teams that are good offensively, his strong starts have been versus teams like Cubs, Rockies and Pirates. He will struggle versus, Semien, Seager and Garcia tonight, I like the over here.
