The Kraken are in San Jose to face the Sharks this afternoon. As I mentioned in my Saturday write up when we had the Sabres over the Sharks, the Sharks are just brutal on home ice as they’ve only won a total of 5 games in 26 attempts. Today they face one of the better road teams in the Kraken that are 17-8-12. The Kraken get balanced scoring throughout their whole team which really helps them avoid long losing stretches. The Sharks may also be missing their top goal scorer in T. Meier for this game with an injury. I will back the Kraken here.

New York Rangers -.5 -111 regulation

The Jets are at MSG the face the Rangers tonight. The Jets will be on a B2B after blowing a third period lead and lost to the Devils 4-2 last night. Now they have a quick turnaround versus a team they’ve had little success against of late. The Jets have lost 4 of the last 5 meetings versus the Rangers and their offense has dried up of late scoring a combined 3 goals in their last 2 games. The Rangers are returning home from a road trip for 1 home game and then return out on the road and winning this type of game is never easy, I just think they’re catching the Jets in a bad spot and will get the job done in regulation.

Kansas Jayhawks +117

TCU host the Kansas Jayhawks in a Big 12 matchup tonight. The Jayhawks are currently tied for the conference lead with the Longhorns at 10-4 and they’re also playing well right now having won 4 straight all versus conference opponents. TCU on the other hand is really struggling right now having lost 4 of their last 5 and outside of their win on Saturday have really been struggling on the offensive end. The Jayhawks will have revenge on their mind as they were beat down and embarrassed by the Horned Frogs at Allen Fieldhouse a month ago 83-60. Even though the Jayhawks haven’t been great on the road this season at 6-3 I like them to get revenge on the Frogs tonight.
