Carolina Hurricanes/Buffalo Sabres U6 -103

The Canes are in Buffalo tonight to face the Sabres, the Canes will be on a B2B and 3rd game in 4 nights losing a tight 2-1 game to the Stars yesterday, while the Sabres will be looking to extend their winning streak to 3 games. Both sides have been getting solid goaltending, the Sabres have been riding the hot hand of UP. Lukkonen who has only given up more than 2 goals in a game twice over his last 8 starts. The Canes have excelled with the combo of P. Kochetkov and S. Martin to post a 1.40 GAA over their last 5 games. Tonight we have both teams that rank in the top 15 of the NHL in GAA/game and two of the top penalty kills at over 80% success rate. I like limited scoring chances here and a low scoring game.

Pittsburgh Penguins -.5 -105

We have a battle of Pennsylvania this afternoon when the Penguins host the Flyers, the Flyers will be on a B2B as they lost a tight 2-1 battle to the Rangers yesterday while the Pens are well rested having not played since Thursday when they beat the Habs 4-1. The Pens will definitely have the advantage in goal as the Flyers are projected to start C. Petersen while the Pens will counter with T. Jarry, Petersen doesn't exude much confidence with his 3.00 GAA and sub .900 save percentage, while Jarry has really looked good over his last 2 starts giving up a miniscule 3 goals to the Habs and Kings. The battle of Pennsylvania has really been one sided of late with the Pens winning 7 of the last 10 meetings, with the Flyers possibly missing their best offensive player in T. Konecny I like the Pens in regulation.

Anaheim Ducks +145

The Ducks host the Preds tonight, both teams will be on a B2B, the Preds beat the Sharks 4-2 to extend their winning streak to 4 games while the Ducks lost in OT to the Kings 3-2. The Preds are in a rough spot here as their on the last game of a long 5 game west coast road trip and will also be playing their 4th game in 6 nights. Seeing that their 4-0 in this trip so far, I can easily see them coming out flat tonight just looking forward to getting home. The Ducks have been putting up goals of late, they just haven't been able to prevent them, tonight we will should both backups in K. Lankinen and L. Dostal as both #1 goalies played last night. I like the Ducks to surprise a tired Preds side at the end of a long road trip.
