The Canes host the Penguins today in a matchup of 2 of the hottest teams in the NHL right now; both have won 8 of their last 10 games. The Penguins come into this game well rested having not played in 2 days, while the Canes will be on a B2B coming off a OT win over the Stars yesterday. B2B don’t seem to bother the Canes as they’re 4-0 in that spot this season. This will be great matchup that can go either way but the line is too nice to pass up on the Canes especially versus a team they’ve dominated on home ice winning 4 of the last 5 meetings.

Minnesota Timberwolves +105

The Timberwolves host the Bulls tonight; both teams are struggling of late, the Bulls have lost 3 straight while the Timberwolves have lost 3 of their last 4. The Timberwolves are back home from a 5 game road trip and look to get back on track versus a Bulls team that isn’t very good on the road at 4-10. Minnesota has proven themselves as a team that takes care of business versus team under .500 and can’t versus team above .500. Well the Bulls are 11-17 and clearly a team underperforming this season compared to the run they had last season. I will back the Timberwolves as a small home dog.

Arizona Cardinals +105 first half

The Cards are in Denver to face the Broncos this afternoon. It will be a battle of backup QBs in B. Rypien and veteran C. McCoy and teams that are on losing streaks, the Broncos have lost 5 straights while the Cards are up to 3. The Cards have shown a propensity to play really well in games and then fade in the second half. Over the last 2 weeks they’ve held going into half time versus the Chargers & Patriots to then just collapse and blow the lead. McCoy can run this offense as he’s been the backup for several seasons and knows the playbook; I’m just not confident K. Klinsbury can make the proper adjustments to keep the lead the whole game. I will back the Cards for the 1st half.
