The Habs host the Flames tonight in Montreal, neither team is particularly playing well at the moment with the Flames losing 2 straight while the Habs have lost 3 of their last 4. This is the last leg of a 3 game east coast road trip for the Flames and it will also be their 3rd game in 4 nights, the Flames are 0-5 in their last 5 games where they’ve played 3 in 4 nights. Add to that, the Habs have won 4 straight versus the Flames and 5 of the last 7 meetings in Montreal. The Flames have a losing record on the road and shouldn’t be this big of a road favorite versus any team in the NHL right now. I will back the Habs to upset the Flames.

Pittsburgh Penguins -1.5 +199

The Stars start a road trip in Pittsburgh tonight as they face the Penguins. The Stars won their last game versus the Senators 4-3 in OT but the defense and goaltending continues to be suspect. The Penguins are rolling right now having won 8 of their last 10 games and are getting great play from the whole team. Their offense is on point having scored 3 or more goals in 7 of their last 10 while their goaltending is back to what were used to in Pittsburgh as they’ve given up more than 3 goals only once in their last 10. The Penguins have won 4 of their last 5 meetings at home versus the Stars and all 4 victories were by 2 goals or more, I expect that to continue tonight.

Minnesota Timberwolves +150

The Timberwolves and Blazers meet again tonight as they played each other just 2 nights ago with the Blazers coming out victorious 124-118, it was a close game throughout with the Blazers pulling away late. I like the Timberwolves to get revenge tonight because it took really big nights from D. Lillard (36 points) and A. Simmons (31 points) to sneak out that 6 point victory. I don’t think they will repeat those performances putting the Timberwolves in a great spot to win this game. The injury of KAT has provided more shooting opportunities for A. Edwards and D. Russell and both have played well in his absence. I like the Wolves here.
