The Preds host the Senators for an afternoon matchup today. After a very rough stretch in late October to mid-November, the Preds are really playing well and back in the middle of the pack of the Central division. They’ve won 7 of their last 10 games due to better goaltending from J. Sarros. The Sens are playing better but can’t seem to find that consistency to be competitive on a nightly basis; the Preds have won 7 of the last 10 meetings overall and 7 straight home games versus the Senators. I like the Preds to take this afternoon game by multiple goals.

Detroit Red Wings +166

The Wings are in Dallas to face the Stars in another afternoon NHL game. The Stars ruined our +2000 parlay from hitting versus the Sens Thursday night with a late goal in the 3rd period and an eventual overtime winner. Tonight they face the Red Wings and we should see V. Husso in goal for Detroit and he’s been a great pickup for them, the Stars will probably counter with J. Oettinger and I mentioned it on Thursday Oettinger is going through a rough stretch, he’s given up 3 or more goals in 5 of his last 6 starts, so if the Stars done score 4 plus goals they’ll have a rough time winning. I don’t see the Stars doing that versus Husso today, I like the Red Wings as big dog today.

Denver Nuggets -4.5 -112 1st half

The Nuggets host the Jazz tonight in Denver, this will be a very bad spot for the Jazz, they will be on a B2B with travel from Utah to Denver it will also be their 3rd game in 4 nights and the cherry on the cake will be playing this game at altitude which is never easy. The Jazz are also currently snake bitten by the injury bug missing 2 key players in C. Sexton and L. Markkanen which takes away 36ppg from their starting lineup. The Jazz haven’t been very good ATS in Denver going 5-11-1 in their last 17 matchups, I will back the Nuggets in the first half as playing at altitude has more of an affect in the first half of a game.
