The Kings host the Avs tonight in a game between Western Conference foes, the Avs lead the Central division by a point over the Stars while the Kings chase the Canucks and Knights in the Pacific division. The Avs have looked mediocre at best over their last 2 games, both losses to the Ducks and Yotes by identical scores of 4-3 in SO and OT. Tonight they will be on a B2B and 3rd game in 4 nights versus one of the stronger teams in the league. The Kings for their part will be well rested having not played in 3 days. In a game of 2 evenly matched teams I'm going to back the Kings here by multiple goals versus a fatigued Avs team not playing their best hockey.
Nashville Predators/Buffalo Sabres O6.5 even
The Preds are in Buffalo to face the Sabres tonight, after winning 6 straight the Preds have hit the skids of late losing 2 straight and been bad defensively in the process. The Preds have given up 10 goals over their last 2 games and face a team in Buffalo that score with regularity. The problem for the Sabres has been preventing goals as well, they've given up 4+ goals in 4 of their last 6 games and neither of their goalies U. Luukkonen or E. Comrie have been able to put up solid performances with consistency. I see a lot of scoring opportunities and goals scored tonight in this game.
LA Chargers -5.5 -105
Could Week 13 finally be the week the Chargers look like the team we expected them to be? Well if they can't get the job done versus this Pats team, then coach B. Staley should be fired right after the game. This Pats team is giving up sacks with regularity and it's felt like M. Jones has been more comfortable throwing the ball to the opposition than his own receivers. Yes B. Zappe starts at QB and that may limit the INTs but the O Line is still a mess and he will be pressured all afternoon. The Chargers have all the weapons on offense needed to turn things around today versus one of the weaker teams in the league in a big win.
