I backed the Ducks last night thinking the Rangers would be looking ahead to the Bruins tonight and that didn't go well. However, I really believed the Rangers should have played Shesterkin in goal versus a weak Ducks team to build his confidence as he really hasn't played well of late. They decided to go with Quick last night and Shesterkin tonight versus the Bruins. That will be a mistake for the Rangers as mentioned Shesterkin is struggling having given up 6, 4 & 5 goals in each of his last 3 games, all losses and all losses by multiple goals. The Bruins are also looking for revenge versus the Rangers having been walloped by them 7-4 Nov 25th in NY. I like the Bruins big here today.

Calgary Flames -106

The Flames host the Lightning in what will be the last game of a 5 game road trip for the Bolts. The Bolts sit at 2-2 on the trip and could be without their top D man V. Hedman tonight for a 2nd game in a row. Right now, A. Vasilevskiy is the projected starter but I can see that changing to J. Johansson as Vasilevskiy is still not that far removed from injury and the Bolts may want to be cautious as he's played 3 straight games. The Flames for their part are trying to snap a 4 game losing streak in which they've been competitive in every one, the lost a game by 1 goal, in OT and SO. The Bolts are in a tough spot here at the end of a long road trip and I like the Flames to take advantage of that and get a win.

Pittsburgh Steelers +103

Two 7-6 teams go at this afternoon when the Steelers visit the Colts. The Steelers were sitting pretty at 7-4 two weeks ago thinking the another playoff appearance was within their grasp, but two real ugly losses versus the Cards and Pats have really put that in jeopardy. This is more or less a must win game for them considering a very tough schedule going forward with games versus the Bengals, and on the road at Seattle and Baltimore. I believe that HC M. Tomlin will have his Steelers ready to be ready and perform well today. The Colts have 7 wins on the season but 5 of those are versus teams with a losing record, it's simple, the Colts do not beat good teams. Today the lose to another team with a winning record.
