The DBacks are in Boston to face the Red Sox this weekend, it will be R. Nelson versus B. Bello on the mound. Both have been pitching well of late as Nelson had a 2.41 ERA in July and has continued that success in August with 2 wins in 3 starts with a 3.38 ERA. Bello has made 7 straight starts of 3 ER or less in each game. This game will come down to which offense will be able to perform better, and when you break down the starters splits you will have to believe that the DBacks should be able to get to Bello as his home ERA is 5.28 on the season, whereas Nelson's road ERA is 3.86. I will back the underdog DBacks here as I see real value with a team playing well at plus money.

SD Padres -1.5 +157 & NY Mets/SD Padres O7.5 -110

The Padres look to rebound from their loss yesterday to the Mets when they send J. Musgrove to the mound to face P. Blackburn. Blackburn's overall numbers are respectable, however, he's taken advantage of performing versus very weak offensive teams, his best starts this season have come versus the Marlins, Rockies and Nationals, when he's faced better teams like the Yanks, O's, Cards and Mariners his ERA balloons to over 9.00. Musgrove has pitched very well since coming off the IL allowing only 1 ER over 8 2/3 IP, as the Padres have been careful with his pitch count as they need him to stay healthy down the stretch, I expect the Padres to hit Blackburn and score often to cover the runline and this game to go over the total.
