Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 -101

The numbers seem to be catching up with the Caps as they're regressing to their numbers on the season. They've lost 4 straight and they playoff chances seem to be slipping away from them. After losing to the Pens last night, they take on a league heavy weight in the Canes on the road. The Canes come into this game off an embarrassing loss to the Bruins 4-1. The Caps are projected to start D. Kuemper in goal and you have to question has much success he will have as he hasn't started a game in close to 2 weeks in a game in which the Caps surprisingly beat the Canes 7-6 in SO. The Caps look to be in a freefall here and a game with the Canes in not what they need to get back on track. I like the Canes by multiple goals here.

Buffalo Sabres -.5 +127 (regulation)

The Flyers are in Buffalo to face the Sabres tonight. I wouldn't want to be in the Flyers dressing room right now with HC J. Tortorella, the Flyers are clinging to a playoff spot but look to be handing it away as they've lost 5 straight and looked bad in every loss. Tortorella must be blowing a gasket with his frustration.  You can tell the Flyers are scrambling as they've used 3 different goalies during this stretch as they don't have confidence in either S. Ersson, F. Sandstrom or I. Fedotov. It is very simple for the Sabres, they have 6 games remaining and they cannot afford to loss any going forward as they sit 6 points behind the Flyers for the final playoff spot. I like the Sabres who are playing much better than the Flyers to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win.

Seattle Mariners/Milwaukee Brewers U8 -110

The Mariners are in Milwaukee to face the Brewers, we have two quality starters on the mound in L. Gilbert and Freddy Peralta. Both were very good in their opening starts of the season, Gilbert pitched 7 innings of 1 run ball in a Mariners 4-3, while Peralta pitched 6 solid innings giving up 1 run in a 3-1 win versus the Mets. Neither side is hitting the ball well as the Brewers are averaging 4 runs a game, but a 7 run game has skewed their numbers and the Mariners have been awful offensively averaging 2.5 runs per game through 7 games. I like this game to stay under the total with two solid pitchers and mediocre offenses tonight.
