The Rangers host the Devils tonight at MSG, the Devils will be on a B2B after a terrible loss to the Pens last night. Up 3-1 heading into the 3rd period the Devils went and gave up 5 unanswered goals to loss the game 6-3. The Devils aren't officially eliminated from the playoffs but two really bad losses to the Sabres and Pens in their last two games have pretty much sealed their fate. Waiting for them tonight is an angry Rangers team that didn't look good last time out in a 5-2 loss to the Pens. This game is very important for the Rangers as they're battling the Canes for the Metro division lead and look to play a weaker opponent in the opening round of the playoffs and won't take the Devils lightly. I like the Rangers to put a nail in the coffin for the Devils playoffs chances with a regulation win. 

Vancouver Canucks/Phoenix Coyotes O6 -115

The Canucks are in Phoenix to play the Coyotes tonight, the Canucks are on a B2B after getting beat pretty bad by the Knights 6-3 last night. As mentioned in my write up yesterday when we backed the Knights, the Canucks are having issues beating quality teams, the Yotes do not fit that profile so the Canucks might be in line for a win. The one thing the Yotes have been doing of late is scoring plenty of goals, they've scored 19 goals over their last 3 games while also giving up 18 on the defensive side. The Canucks are also struggling a little defensively as they've given up 3 goals or more in 3 of their last 4 games. The Yotes are out of the playoff race and look to be playing an up tempo style hockey looking to score goals and not paying much attention to playing defense. SD Padres -1.5 +143

The Padres host to Cards this afternoon looking to salvage a game in this series. They Padres bats have looked quiet in the first 2 games scoring only 4 runs (2 in each game) but could wake up today as they face Z. Thompson who was roughed up in his first start of the season and was average last season as well when he had an ERA close to 4.50. The Padres counter with J. Musgrove who hasn't look good either through 2 starts but we know how dominant he can be and has a great track record pitching at Petco Park. Last season Musgrove had a 2.04 ERA at home, I expect last season's Musgrove to hit the mound today and pitch well and the Padres to take this game by 2 runs or more.
