Val's WTA Miami Open Play Round 1

Indian Wells is finally over and hopefully the cold streak we're on goes with it. We move to the Miami Open which is a 1000 point tournament. The women start today while the men start tomorrow.

Australian D. Saville faces China's S. Zhang in the opening round of the Miami Open. Zhang is on one hell of a streak and unfortunately for her it isn't a good one. She's up to 18 straight losses dating back to last season in singles matches. Saville isn't that much of a factor on the WTA as she ranks 115 overall and really hasn't played many matches on the WTA tour dating back to 2018. Zhang is 0-2 on the season but has not been an easy out for her opponents taking M. Hontama to a 3rd set at Indian Wells last week and and played over 20 games versus K. Pliskova the week before in Dubai. Zhang will eventually win a match again, and it may not be this morning versus Saville, but I like her to take this match over 20 games played and that is our play this morning.
