Val's WTA MIami Open Quarterfinal

Our Garcia play hit nice and early as she took the opening set versus Gauff and eventually won the match. We head back to the WTA for a play.

Maria Sakkari of Greece faces E. Rybakina from Kazakhstan in a quarterfinal match at the Miami Open tonight. Sakkari has had an easier route to this point of the tournament winning her first 2 matches in straight sets while benefitting from the withdrawal of A. Kalinskaya in the 4th round not needing to play to get to the quarters. Rybakina needed 3 sets in both the 2nd and 3rd round to get by her opponents before taking her 4th round match in straight sets versus American M. Keys. These two players have played each other three times in the past an not one of their matches has fallen under the today's posted line of 22 games, one pushed at 22 and the other 2 went 29 games or more.  Both Sakkari and Rybakina have played plenty of 3 set matches of late, so I will back the O22 games in the match tonight.
