Argentine T. Etcheverry faces American M. Mmoh in a quarterfinal match of the Houston Open this afternoon. After a first round bye Etcheverry made quick work of his 2nd round opponent in D. Galan in straight sets 6-4 6-4, Mmoh for his part has also won his first 2 matches in straight sets beating J. Varillas & M. Purcell. Clay is not a surface Mmoh plays much on due to his lack of success, last year he played only one match on clay which his lost. Since going pro in 2012 Mmoh has averaged 5 matches per year on clay. That is not good news for Mmoh as his opponent T. Etcheverry loves playing on clay as it is his best surface, as his career record is 271-134. These two have faced each other on the ATP Tour once in the past as it was an easy straight set victory for Etcheverry, I believe we're store for the same result today. Etcheverry takes it in straight sets.
