Italy's L. Sonego takes on Frenchman U. Humbert in round 1 of the ATP Monto Carlo event. This is an ATP 1000 event, so the best of the best will be present and it should be an exciting tournament. Humbert won their only previous matchup, however, that was won on hard court in 2021. Humbert is not one that has had much success on clay court as he actually has a career losing record (32-40) and actually needed to qualify for this tournament. Sonego on the other hand excels on clay as it is his most successful surface to play on. I like Sonego to cover the 2.5 games versus the weaker Humbert on clay.
