Overnight Grind : Market Makers VS Sharps September 30 2022

Market Makers are sportsbooks that are the first to post a line and set the market. They will control risk by lowering their bet limits when posting a spread or Moneyline before everyone else. Once the market adjusted, they max their bet limits. Talbot has been hot and won his last 8 starts but don't discount Jarry he's been solid this year.

RECAP: Sharp took the win in Cincinnati yesterday in yet another boring NFL game. It was a blowout in Seattle but the sharps were wrong on Texas however they were right in a close game in Minnesota.

We look for sharps to be much more active in MLB now that the NHL and NBA seasons are over however this is not the sport that sharps are the most excited about since market makers tend to have very low max limits early on most of the games due to many variables in MLB. Weather is one of them and probably the most important.

We have a busier day in baseball today and If you like underdogs well we got a few.

The Yankees clinched while the Orioles are still fighting for a spot. The Orioles opened at +166 and sharp money pushed the line down to +152

In San Francisco, Arizona opened at +130 and sharps hit them this morning pushing the line down to +115.

Somehow the sharps believe that there is value on the Red Sox today on the road facing Toronto and Manoah. Boston has the 3rd best OPS in the last 14 days and the books opened at +184 and needed to adjust the line to +159 with sharp money coming in this morning.

I don't see a pitcher confirmed for Houston however the Astros opened at -145 and the line flew to close to 40 pts this morning and is now -181.

We have 6 CFB games today. We have some interesting moves. Most of these lines opened on the 25th.

Houston opened at -1.5 and is currently at -2.5. The handle is close to 50/50. We might see some late money on Houston but I don't believe this line moves any further.

Boise State is now close to being favored by a TD. They moved from -5 to -6.5. A move to -7 would have been significate but in this case, it's square money.

Middle Tennessee State is featured on the sharp report as a fade tonight but sharps have been all over this game. They opened a 5.5 dog and sharps slammed them twice on the 26th bringing the line down to +4.
