Overnight Grind : Market Makers VS Sharps June 20, 2022

While most of us are sleeping, Market Makers and Sharps are adjusting the markets so that by the time we wake up and are ready to bet, the markets have adjusted in favour of the sportsbook. Let's take a quick look at some games where the sportsbooks had to make some adjustments based on heavy sharp interest.

Market Makers are sportsbooks that are the first to post a line and set the market. They will control risk by lowering their bet limits when posting a spread or Moneyline before everyone else. Once the market adjusted, they max their bet limits. Talbot has been hot and won his last 8 starts but don't discount Jarry he's been solid this year.

RECAP: On our last edition of the Overnight Grind, the sharps were on the Warriors and the Texas Rangers. Both games were winners!

Game 3 of the NHL finals is upon us and the Lightning is in trouble and they know it. Prior to game 1, I provided you guys with a quick analysis as to why the Avs will win and one point I covered was that the Tampa had issues with the Leaf's speeds and that Colorado played a similar style but with more skilled players. The sharps have jumped on the Lightning in the range of +105 as per the sharp report however 70% of the handle is on Colorado. Max bet limits are around 6k and the book is waiting for potentially more sharp money before increasing the bet limits. The total is being hit left and right with different sets of sharps. Sugarhouse even posted a 5.5 yesterday morning and it didn't take too much time for it to get slammed back up to 6. Total opened at 6u -106 and it's now sitting at -120 at most of the books. After a solid game 1, the Lighting had to answer in game 2 and they got demolished instead. The Avs are too fast and strong. Also, they are getting some massive goals from support players. Lastly, Vasilevskiy is now 0-7 vs the Avs with a save % of .866. Take the Avs and the under. I dont agree with the sharps.

In MLB we have 4 games on the sharp report and one of them is the Braves. The Braves and Giants open up a new series and it should be a good one. Sharps hit Atlanta at the -133 range at the opening and the line adjusted at -148 at Betonline. This game should turn out to be a pitching duel. Webb just pitched a gem versus the Royals and will definitely be more challenged versus the Braves that have won 14 of their last 15. Fried was a little sloppy last game but prior to that, he allowed 4 ERs in his last 26 pitched innings. I also would put my money on the Braves BP vs the Giants therefore I agree with the sharps here.
